Augmenting Bioactive Metabolite Synthesis from Streptomyces Species Isolated from Mangrove Sediments through Physio-Chemical Parameters

Actinomycetes were isolated from the sediment samples collected Pichavaram Mangrove forest in Thandavarayan Sholagan Pet, Chidambaram Taluk, Cuddalore district, Tamilnadu, South India. The actinomycetes screened for antibacterial (bioactive metabolite) production against Gram positive and negative bacterial organisms. Molecular characterization was performed through 16S rRNA gene amplification to identify actinomycetes. Standardization of media done by designing at various pH, incubation temperature sodium chloride concentration time. It is concluded that four able synthesis bioactive metabolite two (PMA2 PMA6) characterized molecular level as Streptomyces species. They grow better pH 7.0 optimum found be 34-37°. PMA2 tolerates up 5 % concentration, whereas PMA6 7.5 %. Minimum 7 d time necessary growth concurrently, antibacterials peaked 8th d.
